World Social Work Day 2015 (WSWD) is on March 17. This year's theme forWorld Social Work Dayis‘Promoting the Dignity and Worth of Peoples’.

When reflecting on professional social work practice, social workers are committed to looking within the individual and beyond to understand, and make an impact on, the broader systems that contribute to social and economic inequalities which can affect the dignity and worth of Queenslanders. This important aspect of social work practice spans right across policy, organisational and individual levels.

PeakCare is pleased to take this opportunity to recognise the unique work that social workers do, and to commemorate the broad reach of the work that social workers undertake to in order to highlight the positive impact they make in the lives of Queenslanders.

PeakCare's Executive Director, Lindsay Wegener has signed astatement of acknowledgementto commemorate the unique work that social workers undertake and the impact they make in the lives of the people they work with.
